Meet Yvonne DeMuyt from Park Place Senior Living, our Resident of the Month!
Yvonne originally moved into our Independent Living community in the fall of 2020, she later moved to Assisted Living in Spring of 2022.
Born and raised in Chicago, Yvonne proudly carries the spirit of her hometown with her. She’s a devoted Cubs fan, well-travelled, loves to read and adores her wonderful family: six children, ten grandchildren, and nearly seven great-grandchildren.
Before retirement, Yvonne served as a legal secretary and community volunteer, roles that reflect her lifelong commitment to connection and service.
Her favorite activity at Traditions is trivia, which she never misses. “It’s important to keep my mind working,” she said.
But perhaps Yvonne’s most cherished talent is writing. She’s passionate about putting her experiences into words and may even write something special about Park Place in the future. We’re cheering her on every step of the way.
Her favorite meal? Shrimp Alfredo with extra shrimp, of course!
“Yvonne adds heart, humor, and just the right amount of sass to everything she does here at Park Place,” said Samantha Domurat, assistant Executive Director at Park Place Senior Living. “We are blessed she calls Park Place home – it wouldn’t be the same without her wit and warm heart.”
